Limit and No Limit Poker
Each and any game has its list of possible variations, which not only include game versions like the flash play roulette and roulette download, but such versions of games like strip and progressive online blackjack. Betting structure applies to the poker betting limits and the obligatory bets used in certain poker variants. There are four main betting structures in poker games: Fixed Limit, Pot Limit, Spread Limit and No Limit poker. Let’s study each of them.
Fixed Limit Poker
In poker variations with the fixed limit betting structure the size of bets is determined. It means that the poker player should only choose to bet or not. As a rule the size of the bet is doubled in the last rounds of the play. That’s why, the initial betting limit is known as the small bet and the raised one - the big bet. For example, in the $10/$20 poker the gamblers can bet $10 in the first betting rounds and $20 during the last. Note that this amount applies also to the raise size. In some poker fixed limit games there is also limited quantity of raises in round of betting. The max number depends on that or this casino hall rules. Some casino halls even permit unlimited quantity of raises, particularly if just two players stay in the hand.
Spread Limit Poker
In poker versions with the spread limit structure the player may raise and bet within the defined range. For instance, in the "1 to 5 limit" poker game the gambler can wager from $1 to $5. Traditionally at the last rounds of betting the range is widen a little, it is usually shown in the name of game. There exists the so-called California Spread betting structure and the poker games with such betting structure have much bigger range, for instance from $3 to $150, or from $10 to $1500. California Spread is applied in poker variants mostly in California where the no limit betting structure is not allowed by the law.
Pot Limit Poker
In poker games with the pot limit structure the poker player can raise up to the amount in pot. For instance, if there are $10 in the pot at the beginning of the betting round the player who opens the round may bet up to $10, and he does bet $10, the next player is permitted to to raise to $40 (as the initial pot was $10 and after $10 calling of the first player this size is $30 and the second gambler can raise $30). The same the third poker player is allowed to raise up to $140 and so on. In some poker versions the way to calculate the max raise is a little bit different that’s why every time you gamble with pot limit structure learn the main rules.
No Limit Poker
In no limit poker games the players are allowed to bet and raise up to the size of the whole stake. Of course, there is the lowest betting amount to begin round of betting in no limit poker games and each raise is to be equal to the amount of the preceding raise at least.
